‘Controversial’ proposal challenged in the court Pakistan Institute of Medical Sciences staff’s protests

Seeing the Pakistan Institute of Medical Sciences staff’s protests fall on deaf ears, a local resident has moved the court of law to get the Ministry of Capital Administration and Development plan to appoint an ‘ineligible’ dentistry professor from Lahore as the top boss of Islamabad’s premier government hospital shot down.


Earlier this month, the CAD secretary submitted a summary to the prime minister for consenting to the nomination of King Edward Medical University-Mayo Hospital Lahore’s Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery Professor Riaz Ahmad Warraich (Basic Pay Scale 20) as PIMS executive director for three years on deputation.
