INSAF Student Federation (ISF) to move ECP over youth festival

LAHORE

INSAF Student Federation (ISF), the student wing of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf, has announced filing a reference in the Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) against the Punjab government for organising Punjab Youth Festival 2012 as a publicity stunt and election campaign at the cost of public money.

Addressing a press conference on Thursday, ISF President Farrukh Habib and other office-bearers alleged that Punjab government was organising Youth Festival 2012 only to gain political mileage as it had printed lion on the festival’s logo which was actually the electoral symbol of the PML-N. “Lion is the electoral symbol of PML-N,” they said, adding that the election campaign-cum-festival would cost the public exchequer Rs 2.5 billion.View the original article here
